Acceptable Use Policy
Guidelines for responsible use of all Societrics platforms
1. Purpose and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") establishes the rules and guidelines for responsible use of all Societrics platforms operated by MindBrood Initiative, including app.societrics.org, ph.societrics.org, dashboard.societrics.org, and labs.societrics.org.
These rules apply to all users — authenticated, anonymous, organisational administrators, field enumerators, research partners, and institutional representatives. Compliance ensures a safe, trustworthy, and research-grade environment for all users, and protects the integrity of the data upon which national-level research and policy guidance depends.
This AUP must be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of conflict, the Terms of Service prevail.

- Discriminate against, demote, dismiss, or disadvantage any individual on the basis of their assessed personality type
- Share another user's individual assessment results without their explicit consent
- Misrepresent assessment results as clinical diagnoses, medical findings, or professional psychological evaluations
- Use assessment results to profile, track, or monitor individuals in ways they have not consented to
3.2 Technical Misuse
- Attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or private information
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape, extract, or mass-download Platform data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary source code, assessment algorithms, or SGT methodology
- Introduce malware, viruses, or malicious code into the Platform or its infrastructure
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or otherwise overload Platform systems

- Impersonate other users, MindBrood Initiative staff, or institutional representatives
- Use the Platform for any purpose that violates Nigerian or applicable international law
- Violate the intellectual property rights of MindBrood Initiative or any third party
4. pH Assessment — Specific Rules
4.1 Honesty and Accuracy
The pH Instrument measures community institutional health based on honest, observable community conditions. Assessment responses must reflect your genuine, good-faith observation of your community. The integrity of community-level pH scores, LGA health profiles, and the national research dataset depends on the honesty of individual submissions.
4.2 Data Poisoning — Strictly Prohibited
⚠️ Prohibited — Data Poisoning
Submitting systematically false, coordinated, or manipulated pH assessments — whether individually or as part of an organised campaign — for the purpose of distorting community-level health scores, LGA rankings, or national research data is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:
- Submitting multiple false assessments for the same geographic area from different sessions or devices
- Coordinating with others to submit uniform extreme scores (all 1s or all 7s) for a target community
- Submitting assessments for communities you have not observed and cannot reasonably assess
- Using automated tools to generate bulk false submissions
Data poisoning undermines research integrity, corrupts policy guidance, and causes demonstrable harm to communities whose institutional health is being misrepresented. It constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in legal action.
4.3 Field Enumerator Conduct
Authorised field enumerators administering the pH Instrument on behalf of community members must:
- Obtain verbal informed consent from every respondent before beginning the assessment
- Read each item clearly and accurately in the respondent's preferred language, without coaching, leading, or influencing the response
- Record the respondent's own rating faithfully — not the enumerator's interpretation of what the rating should be
- Respect the respondent's right to skip any item (mark as DK) or withdraw from the assessment at any time without penalty
- Not reveal the assessment scores of individual community members to other community members
- Handle paper response cards and tablet data with appropriate confidentiality until synced to the platform
- Report any community resistance, safety concerns, or coercion attempts to their LGA Supervisor immediately
- Not administer the assessment in circumstances where the respondent is visibly under duress, intimidation, or constraint
4.4 Community and Geographic Accuracy
- Assess only communities, LGAs, or areas you have directly and recently observed — not areas you have not visited or about which you have no direct knowledge
- Select your geographic location (state, LGA) accurately in the demographics section
- Do not submit assessments intended to represent geographic areas other than your own observation area
5. National Personality Index (NPI) — Use Restrictions
The NPI is a population-level aggregate index derived from anonymised VCTR assessment data. It maps archetype distributions across geographic, demographic, and educational cohorts. Given its policy relevance and potential sensitivity, the following restrictions apply to any use of NPI data published or shared by MindBrood Initiative:
- NPI data may be used for educational research, policy analysis, and human development planning only
- NPI outputs must not be used to label, stigmatise, or discriminate against geographic areas, ethnic groups, religious communities, or demographic populations based on their archetype distribution
- NPI data must not be weaponised in political campaigns, electoral propaganda, or partisan communications designed to discredit specific communities or demographic groups
- NPI outputs must not be cited as evidence of inherent intellectual, moral, or social inferiority of any population group
- Academic and policy publications using NPI data must attribute MindBrood Initiative and the Societrics Research Division and must characterise the data accurately as a behavioural aggregate, not a biological or fixed trait measure
- NPI data must not be used in legal proceedings to justify discrimination or adverse action against individuals or communities
6. Societrics Game Theory (SGT) — Restrictions
SGT is a high-impact analytical system subject to the SGT Containment and Authorisation Protocol. Access is controlled through three authorisation layers. Attempting to access a higher layer than your authorised level is a material breach of these Terms.
6.1 Authorisation Layers
- Layer 1 (Pedagogical): Conceptual content only. No equations, threshold calculations, or crisis simulations.
- Layer 2 (Analytical): Formal SGT constructs permitted for certified CSP Practitioners under institutional supervision.
- Layer 3 (Governance): Full deployment authority for CSP Masters and authorised institutional partners only, subject to ongoing compliance review.
6.2 Prohibited SGT Activities
Without proper authorisation, you MUST NOT:
- Access or attempt to access Θ (Theta) calculations, Crisis Regime threshold data, or simulation tools
- Use or distribute SGT methodology in educational, commercial, or public settings without Layer 2 or 3 authorisation
- Present SGT threshold values as policy targets to be achieved rather than structural limits to be diagnosed
- Encourage any government, institution, or individual to "push systems toward the threshold to observe results"
- Publicly disseminate unvalidated, unapproved, or unauthorised SGT country-level readings
- Present SGT findings as having certainty beyond what the framework explicitly claims
6.3 SGT Crisis Monitor Restrictions
For authorised users of the SGT Crisis Monitor:
- Do not use Crisis Monitor data to justify coercive political, military, or economic interventions
- Do not publish raw country-level SGT data without MindBrood Initiative attribution and peer validation
- Do not manipulate indicators for partisan political purposes or to influence elections
- Respect embargo periods for sensitive data as communicated by MindBrood Initiative
- Submit all policy-facing applications of SGT data to the mandatory peer validation process before release
6.4 Non-Weaponisation
⚠️ Absolute Prohibition — Non-Weaponisation
SGT tools and outputs cannot under any circumstances be used to legitimise, justify, plan, or advocate for: violence, armed conflict, military action, economic sanctions designed to cause civilian harm, targeted regime destabilisation, or authoritarian coercion of civilian populations. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination, revocation of all SGT authorisations, and referral to appropriate legal authorities.
7. Organisational Administrator Responsibilities
Administrators of organisational accounts — including school administrators, HR managers, and institutional representatives — must:
- Obtain and document valid informed consent from all members before enrolling them in the Platform
- For users under 18: obtain documented parental or guardian consent and manage it in accordance with the Children and Young Persons Data Policy
- Not pressure, coerce, or make it compulsory for members to complete assessments as a condition of employment, enrolment, or access to services
- Use aggregate organisational analytics responsibly — not to disadvantage or discriminate against individual members based on their archetype
- Protect the confidentiality of individual member assessment data within the organisation — only authorised counsellors and administrators should access individual profiles
- Ensure that any SGT-level access within the organisation is limited to staff with the appropriate authorisation layer
- Train staff and counsellors who access the Platform in the proper interpretation of assessment results before deploying the Platform to students or members
- Report any suspected misuse or data breach affecting organisational accounts to abuse@societrics.org within 24 hours of becoming aware
7.1 School Administrators — Additional Responsibilities
Schools deploying the Societrics Advisory to students must additionally:
- Designate a named counsellor or administrator as the Platform contact responsible for student data
- Ensure the school's use of Platform data complies with all applicable Nigerian educational regulations and NERDC guidelines where applicable
- Not share student assessment results with parents without the student's knowledge and consent (for students 13 and above)
- Not use student assessment data for purposes unrelated to educational guidance and counselling
- Provide students and their parents with clear information about the Platform and how assessment data will be used, before assessments are conducted
8. Data Usage and Research Output Guidelines
- Assessment results — individual or aggregate — are for guidance purposes. They must be interpreted alongside other evidence and professional judgement, not used as self-sufficient deterministic outputs.
- Individual results must remain confidential unless explicitly shared by the user or, for organisational contexts, as permitted under the organisational data governance agreement.
- Aggregate, anonymised data may be used for academic research and policy analysis when attributed to Societrics Research Division and in accordance with any applicable Data Processing Agreement.
- Research partners must submit all public-facing publications using Societrics data for review and attribution confirmation before publication.
- SGT outputs and pH community health scores used in policy documents must include a standardised disclaimer noting the data's nature as aggregate diagnostic indicators, not deterministic predictions.
9. Reporting Violations
If you observe or suspect any violation of this AUP — including data poisoning, NPI misuse, SGT access violations, or enumerator misconduct — please report immediately to:
Email: abuse@societrics.org
For urgent SGT or safety concerns: legal@societrics.org
Reports are investigated promptly and handled confidentially. We do not retaliate against good-faith reporters.
10. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in escalating consequences depending on severity and intent:
- Minor violations: Warning and guidance on proper use
- Moderate violations: Temporary suspension of access; mandatory retraining for field enumerators
- Serious violations: Permanent account termination; revocation of organisational subscription without refund; revocation of SGT authorisation
- Severe violations (data poisoning, weaponisation, SGT misuse, harm to children): Immediate termination; notification of relevant regulatory authorities; civil or criminal legal action as appropriate
We reserve the right to investigate, determine severity, and apply consequences at our reasonable discretion, with notification to the relevant user or organisation.

Use Societrics Responsibly
The data you contribute helps build the most detailed map of community wellbeing and student potential that Nigeria has ever had. That map is only as trustworthy as the honesty of those who contribute to it. SGT exists to prevent collapse, not to test its limits.
